We are Tim and Katie, and our story began 13 years ago in Orange County, California. We met at a water polo game where Katie was coaching her old high school team and Tim was officiating the game. We fell in love shortly after and have been married now for 8 years. We spent the first year of our marriage traveling and exploring the world together. We then decided we wanted to start a family and we now have 3 wonderful children Sage (7), Reese (5), and Caleb (3). Together as a family you can find us adventuring together on stand-up paddle boards, gardening in our backyard, trying all different types of sports, music and arts, volunteering in our local community and church and continuing to travel all together. We as a family put our faith in the Lord as our highest priority. We demonstrate a life in which everyone feels loved and cared for. Our family represents responsibility, honesty, leadership, and we aim to be lifelong learners. Adoption has been in our hearts from the beginning of our journey together and believe this is the right moment and the right time for us to finally make this a reality.
Tim:
Tim grew up in Glendale, Ca and was adopted at 18 months of age. Tim has always felt extremely fortunate to be adopted into a family that has given him every opportunity to be the best person he can be. He was blessed with two amazing parents that gave him an amazing childhood experience in a loving environment. He grew up playing sports and finally settled on water polo which he continued to play in college at Long Beach State University. He is currently a middle school Physical Education teacher and a high school water polo and swim coach. Tim will never stop teaching others because he truly has the passion to inspire and guide kids on the right path. Adoption has been in our hearts from the beginning of our journey. We are so looking forward to having the opportunity to add one more beautiful child to our family. We support your decision and are thankful God put you in our lives to give us the opportunity to give your child a home filled with endless love and open arms.
Katie:
Katie grew up in Lake Forest, California and was raised in a big, loving family with 7 siblings. Her family was constantly going on road trips around the states, traveling to beaches, mountains and deserts and involved in many sports and activities. Also, being surrounded by friends and family filled everyone up. She began playing water polo, swimming, and softball at an early age. When she entered high school, she decided on water polo to continue into college. She went to Arizona State University on a scholarship where she played Division 1 water polo and earned a degree in Nutrition and Education. After college she moved to Northern California and began coaching water polo and worked in the catering industry until 2012 where she started her own company. After having our first child (Sage), she was introduced to a Pediatric Sleep Consulting program where she now has her certification as a Pediatric Sleep Consultant. She has been helping families and children get a better night’s sleep ever since.
