We understand that this is a difficult time for you.
You have our full respect for choosing
to give your baby life.

The first thing we want you to understand is that
YOU MAKE ALL OF THE CHOICES.

We are here to support you.

  • YOU CHOOSE the adoptive family for your baby.  There are so many loving families who are adoptive familyunable to biologically have a baby, but they have all the love and ability to be great parents.
  • ALL Adoptive Parents are pre-screened and must go through the HOME STUDY Process.  (They have to prove that they can financially, emotionally and physically be good providers and parents.  Their homes are inspected.  They are interviewed by a licensed social worker on several occasions.  Even background checks are done!!)
  • YOU can create an Adoption Plan you feel comfortable with.  YOU CHOOSE the adoptive family and the type of relationship you want to have with them.  The practical terms would be Open, Semi-Open or Closed Adoption.  The more contact you want, the more open the adoption would be.  Typically an Expectant Birth Mom chooses the Adoptive Parents, meets with them, has a friendly relationship with them through the pregnancy and then receives pictures and update letters afterwards.  Some Birth Moms choose to have in person, phone contact or contact through email and/or social media. Some Birth Moms prefer to have a more closed adoption.  This is a personal decision that you can get counseling on to help you make the right choice for you.
  • Adoption Answer Resource Center is here to help you at any time.  ALL SERVICES ARE FREE, Confidential and Available 24/7.  You can CALL or TEXT us at any time on our HELPLINE/TEXTLINE at 818-836-9715.  Our Expectant Mom Support Team cares and understand what you are going through.  We can answer any questions you have and can help you anywhere you live.

  • We understand that there are reasons you are looking at adoption and that you may need some help to get you through.  During your pregnancy and up to 6 to 8 weeks after delivery, paid living expenses are available to you.  (Your state will mandate what we can help you with and for how long.)  Free Housing is available.  We can help you with expenses that are legally allowable such as: rent, food, personal necessities and medical expenses.
