Ashlene Williams is our Senior Adoption Coordinator, as well as Manager of our Social Media Team. We got to witness the miracle of Ashlene becoming a mom when she and her husband adopted through us. To meet Ashlene is to love her. After getting to know her, it became obvious that she is talented beyond measure. She is such an asset to our team and her roles continue to expand as she is so service oriented and has a heart of gold. Ashlene has an incredible sense of humor and a special way of balancing the reality of adoption with the hope that it takes to get you there.
Ashlene lives in North Carolina with her handsome husband, Chad, and their two adorable children, Zakai and Chalynn. They maintain a loving and open adoption relationship with both of their beautiful birth moms.
Here is the “Why?” Behind Ashlene’s calling to work in Adoption
“Since I was 7 years old I told my mom I was going to adopt. So it’s always been in my heart. When we were blessed with our son through Adoption, I felt a tiny tug to be a bigger part of the Adoption world but wasn’t sure what that looked like for me. My husband and I experienced so much love and support, as did our son’s Birth Mom, from The Adoption Center of Hope Staff. I knew I wanted to do something. Standing in the hospital with Michelle she said four words to me, “You should do this.” I initially thought she was crazy, but after a few months of talking to her, I realized that this was my calling! Since January of 2010 I have been blessed to answer my calling over and over again. ”
