Adoptive Parents, Christian Adoptive Family

All of us are excited and hopeful to grow our family through adoption.

We are Carlos and Martha. We love each other and feel incredibly blessed to be married to one another. We were friends in high school and then life reconnected us through Facebook and we have now been married over five years.

Carlos works in law enforcement and is well respected in his role there.  Martha works for a financial company, where she has been a supervisor for many years. Family time together is a priority for them both.  Carlos’s work schedule allows several days off in a row on a regular basis and Martha is fortunate to be able to balance family and work as she works from home much of the time.

We became a blended family of his and hers, with seven children between us. We consider all of them to be ours… and all of us are excited and hopeful to grow our family through adoption.

Our household is busy and fun, and our family is an active family.  Together, we enjoy hobbies like hiking, jogging and weightlifting.  We encourage each one of our children to grow in the areas they are gifted and have interests. They are active in football, baseball, dance, cheer leading and color guard.  As parents, we are involved in every aspect of our children’s lives and support them in any way we can.

We live in a beautiful area of Southern California where they are involved in both their community and church. We love the Lord and our relationship with Him is important to us. We are grateful for the many blessings in our lives and give God the glory. We are also thankful for the difficult times that we know the Lord has carried us through.  We were talking about adoption when we surprisingly found out that we were pregnant. The loss of that baby during pregnancy was incredibly painful, but has brought us even closer to one another.

We want to be clear that our desire to adopt is not a way of replacing that baby, but has definitely become even more of a calling we both feel. It is our family’s wholehearted desire (children included) to love, protect and provide for another child.  Our coming together as a family, facing challenges and growing in love gives us all the confidence about welcoming another baby to love.

We are looking so forward to meeting the birth mom of their child and are praying for you even now.

All of our love,

Carlos and Martha
