Very early this morning, precious baby boy, Patrick, was born. When I spoke with his sweet Birth Mom today, I asked how she was feeling. She shared how she felt tired from pushing for an hour, but relieved that the labor was over. As we always do, I checked in with her about how she emotionally and mentally was feeling. She paused in thought and said, “It is not how I imagined it would be. I know my decision is right and has been since I made it. It’s just, now I have this incredible peace that I AM doing the right thing. I am really so at peace.”

It’s THAT peace… That peace that truly passes all understanding that make adoption possible. Adoption is a process that is unique and personal. Liana’s decision is just that… It is her’s to make. After months and months of seeking options, searching for answers, consulting her family… She and Patrick’s Birth Father made the decision that adoption was the answer.

They deserve respect and support as this choice came to them from a place of complete responsibility, maturity and yes, selfless love.
