Wherever you are right now, God knows and He understands. Whether you are in a great place emotionally and spiritually, or a really dark one, He gets it. There is no hiding from Him. Like the loving Father that He is, He waits for us.
There have been several times in my life where I have journeyed into very deep valleys. Some were by choices I had made, and others came from situations beyond my control. The times where my emotions fluctuate and my faith becomes inconsistent, my Heavenly Father remains steadfast in His love and protection over me. He is faithful to me. He has proven Himself over and over to be completely trustworthy.
The walk of adoption, be it from the side of the Birth Mom or the Adoptive Family, may journey through some valleys. There will be times of questioning and fear. Seeking Him and inviting Him to walk this path with you will make the difference between walking an emotionally rocky, cliff hanging pathway and a pathway that has it’s ups and downs but is more peaceful and secure.
Whatever path you are on right now in life, the Lord would never push Himself to be a part of it. He does desire an invitation, though. He does not want to be an outsider in our lives. Even when we are not, He is faithful.
